LOGAN POTTERY

Jim and Steffi Logan
Englewood. Florida

We work out of our studio located in our home in Englewood. Florida.  Our pottery is hand-built high fire stoneware with lead free glazes, making it food safe, oven, dishwasher and microwave safe. Our inspiration comes from long walks on the beach and boating in the flats and estuaries.  All of our pottery is decorated with sea life or shore birds with blues and greens reminiscent of the sea.  We like to think of our work as "usable art"
 

Steffi

I am from Georgia and attended the University of Georgia where I received a Masters degree in Fine Arts.  I taught art for several years and then I opened a gallery featuring pottery from 75 artists throughout the United States. I love to cook and entertain; therefore I create functional serving platters, bowls, chip and dip plates, dinnerware and many smaller shell forms.
 

Jim

I come from a family of artists and began my career in music and theatre.  I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor’s degree in theatre. Inspired by, and having always been drawn to the water, my signature pieces include: marine life wall sculptures, fish and turtle platters and bowls as well as mugs, goblets and candle lanterns.
